My Sebastian has had the same thing happen to him too. The first time he would wake up several times in the night to go to the bathroom, I saw a little blood and mucous in it a couple of times. I took him straight to the vet and he wound up having coccidia, which is an internal parasite. I am not sure how he got it. The vet said it is hard to avoid because it is in the environment. He had to stay overnight for observation. I felt so bad becuase I thought it was something I did. After careful monitoring and antibiotics, he is doing much much better now. He recently had another episode of runny stool but it was just a scare. I gave him a little bit of Pepto Bismol and monitored him all day. No big scares like last time. I think it has a lot do with what he eats. I am still trying to find the best food for him. Good Luck with your baby!
