I understand how you feel. It's always hard with little kids because of course they want to touch everything. Sometimes I go to my mom's house and she tends to have people over frequently because she cuts hair, and sometimes some of them bring their kids. The little kids would want to carry my puppy but I was like I'm sorry you can pet her but you can't carry her. Of course they'd start crying to their moms right away, I'm sorry but I'm not going to run the risk that they may drop my baby. I let my baby sister who is 11 carry my little girl but she knows my rules about who can hold her and how to handle my girl. I even rarely let my own mother carry her because my mom has what you would call "slippery fingers" I mean it's not about being selfish, it's just me being cautious. My mom jokes that I treat my baby as if she were my real daughter but how else am I supposed to treat her? |
