Could just be the anesthetic. Watch him. Hopefully by tomorrow, he'll be able to pee just fine. He WILL be sore for quite a few days. Don't expect too much from him and by all means, keep him from jumping around...especially with the stitches in.

Keep the area clean. He SHOULD do this on his own but keep checking it for any redness, heat (to the touch) and any other signs of infection.
