My hubby and I had only been dating a short while when he decided to pop the question....He had worked all night and after he got off of work, he drove 2 hours to find the perfect ring...by the time that he got to my house, he had been up a total of 24 hours straight! it was dark outside and i lived way out in the country at the time, and we would often lay outside and stare at the stars...he led me outside, and told me to climb up onto the roof of his truck
i'm totally scared of heights, but he said that it was the only way that i could see one particular group of stars....once i got up there, he said "you trusted me enough to face your fears...will you trust me with the rest of your life?"
of course, i said YES, and he's been protecting me ever since
