I FREAKED OUT this morning.
Sweet Pea was in the bed with me and i saw this dark thing on the inside of her ear. I thought hmmm she just got REALLY shaved for her summer cut, i didn't notice that HUGE scab. well i went to touch it and OMG..
IT WAS A HUGE TICK. i pulled it off it fell on my bed and i grabbed it.
now i know this may not be a BIG deal for some of you who live in woody type areas, but we live in surbs in sacramento, calif. i mean i have seen 1 tick my WHOLE life which was on my neck from camping when i was 10. the only place we have been is walking on the greenbelts in my neighborhood.
my yorkies take sentinel for fleas but i guess it doesn't work on tick, i just bought advantage, but hadn't opened it. when i called the vet that doesn't work on ticks either, i have to exchange it for something else...
NOW I CAN'T STOP ITCHING...
