Thank you to all who have replied! I'm just freaked out because I am a little scared of my yorkie, because I had no idea her body was so tiny and fragile (I'm feeding her more since her being shaved down!) Also, I had no idea that the yorkie coat, as long as it's not too long, actually insulates the body from both cold and heat (I noticed that when I pick her up her body is noticeably hotter now)... next time I'm getting her coat trimmed not shaved off! Thank you for the pictures as well, I feel better knowing others have gone through this too, but Cali looks so cute! My baby's hair on her body is shaved a little closer and she has more of an adult face with lots of hair on her face and head that is maybe medium length. She was shaved down pretty close so I think this might take at least all summer to grow out, but hopefully in one month she will not look so strange! |
