I want to thank each and everyone of you for your kind words, thoughts & prayers.
We knew her time with us was limited, but the circumstance in which she left is very difficult for me. To not to be with her as she drew her last breath. I knew she was in God's hands but I wish she was in ours when she left instead of alone in a strange hospital.
With Dan away and unable to come home, I find so much comfort in reading your words, and knowing they come from people who truly understand how much love we can have for our little angels. Though we never met, you are all my friends.
Jewel was very special in so many ways. Dan and I were talking and crying as we talked about her life with us. Having her in our lives and going into battle beside her has made us both better persons.
We were truly blessed to have been trusted by God to care for her.
