It really depends on your pups own hair and how fast it grows. But she'll probably grow out enough in the next couple of months to be cute and not look so skinny. I know what your talking about though. The last time I took Petey to the groomer was in FeB. He was pretty long, and his cotton coat makes him look bigger then he is. They cut it short on the body and he looked like he lost 5 pounds. I didn't really like it, he grew out within about 6 weeks. I've had use the clippers on him twice since then, but I only cut it down to about an inch long.
Just give your baby some extra loving and belly rubs, she'll be feeling like her old self in no time.
