Animal Smiley 049 Teeth Cleaning

I am still new to this site..don't post much here. I am loved by a Yorkie...Tootsie. She is the sweetest little baby! She is now 4 -1/2 years old...weighing in at a little over 6 pounds...never had her teeth cleaned until today. She gets checked by the Vet each year..and we have been very lucky that she has not had any problems with her teeth! Even the Vet has always been amazed! The past month or so I did start to smell her "dog breath" and on her latest visit the Vet took a look and said she has Gingivitis so a cleaning is now in order. She didn't see any teeth that will be to be removed..that is good thing! But this will be Tootsie's 2nd time under anesthesia..the first being when she was spayed...at the age of 11 months. I know we will be sent home with a finger brush and toothpaste...and I know Tootsie will be her usual good little soul...take it in stride. She always does. I just hope she will be okay later today when I pick her up...and that the doggie "cocktail" wears off soon.

Anyone have any thoughts or what I should expect??

Rita & Tootsie
