I agree with using the "potty" command. My two older dogs are both trained to go on command, (if they have any in them LOL). AprilLove is 17 weeks old and she now knows the command. I just kept repeating "go potty" whenever she uses the piddle pads.( and still do) She is about 95% reliable inside. I have started using the command outside in the last week and she does it. It has not seemed to confuse her, as she still goes to the litter box/pads inside. In my opinion it is well worth it to have them trained this way. With my older dogs (both outside trained), it works great when we go places and before they go inside anothers house or wherever, I give the command and they piddle away!!! Hope this helps
