The plus has the glucosamine in it which is supposed to be good for the joints. I use the regular right now but will probably switch once this bag runs out. Have you considered that the itching might be allergy mediated. I have my two on a grain free diet as Jolene is very sensitive to grains and will itch like mad. I have also heard of itching due to protein allergies.
