I've always used K9advantix on my two. I do occasionally, tho not often, see a tick; but I guess nothing is 100%. They get bathed once weekly, and I use the advantix every 4 weeks. My main reason for using the advantix is that it is also effective on mosquitoes, which we have PLENTY of here in the deep south.
