Actually each dog is different and that's not a fair statement. :-) I've had a half Yorkie dog that was fully potty trained by 4 months. She never had any issues after potty training. I was faithful with potty training with her from the minute we brought her home and she did better than her older poodle brother. He still had accidents at 3 years old. My Zoie is having good days and bad days. She seems to do MUCH better if I don't take her out every 15-30 minutes but leave her in her kennel for a couple hours (after having gone potty) and then take her out again. I think it was confusing for her to go out so often. Now when she goes out, she usually needs to pee and has held it long enough to need to go. I just can't let her run around inside much at all or she likes to pee on the carpet 15 mins after she's peed outside. So, if she needs exercise, we roam the backyard with the kids. Potty training is such a process for some dogs!!!!!! My husband thinks she's stupid because she still pees inside if she can. I think she just prefers the carpet and knows better LOL.
