KD, I wouldn't use the rat poison...what if it dies somewhere in or around your apartment and then you don't find it...till you notice the smell...
I remember living in the country...had little mice in the house and so I put out those sticky traps. WELL, I happen to forget about one till I noticed the smell...it was disgusting. Another mouse got trapped in the bathroom...and it was just about free of the trap. Got the bb gun on that one.
