I am in a similar situation at the moment - nearing the end of a bag of Royal Canin puppy, and finding that Oscar has super itchy, dry skin (corn is one of the first ingredients listed) so I am reluctant to move onto Royal Canin for Adult Yorkies. After reading them, I picked up a small bag of Chicken Soup for Adult dogs (no corn and no beet pulp which I've heard can contribute to tear stains - another problem I'm having with Oscar) so when I switch from puppy to adult I'll also be switching brands. I havne't switched yet but this food has gotten rave reviews on Yorkie talk and I think it will help alot with both of my problems. Do a search though, there are lots of opinions on this topic!

I tried switching to Paul Newmans all natural food which is supposed to be quite excellent. My dogs loved it but seemed like all they did was poop all day long......soI have now switched back to the new Royal Canin indoor dog food because my dogs do not go out much. Very difficult to settle on a particular dog food. sigh
