I'd keep her no use it trying to get a new puppy settled in later and if the kids do well with them from birth to ready for new homes that shouldnt' be a problem then. I'm sure they already know how fragile she is.
If it were me -not that this would be the best idea mind you- I would tell my hubby ok I'll try to find a home and then ask and absolulty outragous price and then after a you've had more time to convince him the puppy should stay just say oh I can't find a buyer and I'm not selling for less than she's worth. seems to you she's already priceless anyway. but not everyones hubby is like mine either.
