You will find toilet training a new pup easier with a garden.It sounds as though Jack was older when you got him and already toilet trained?Taking two down 5 flights of stairs would be tricky!
Please don't take your new pup home from the breeder at under 8 weeks.There is a very recent thread on here about taking a pup home at under 12 weeks.Some of us have had feeding problems with very little pups.Read the thread for more info.A good breeder won't give you the pup til it is ready.
Good luck with your new pup,whenever you get him.Don't anticipate problems that may not happen!
