Congrats!
Your 10yr old sounds like my 34yr old (BF). He did not want a dog at all and "swore" we would never get one. That we were "cat" ppl. (We have 3!). I begged and pleaded and begged some more and after almost 3 years, we finally got our Yorkie Bella.
I soooooo worried that he wouldn't bond w/her and find her a nusiance but boy was I wrong! He adores her and sometimes acts jealous when she runs from him to me or my 8yr old daughter.
