My Lillie fusses about 9pm to go out and get in her crate for the night. She then sleeps until around 7am. I keep it in my room so I can hear her as she usually just lets out a little whine to get out in the morning. She is 18 weeks. She likes being in her crate. At night I put a towel over it so she knows it is night time. Not sure why but started that at 12 weeks when we got her and she woke up in the middle of the night the first few weeks to go out and for the past 3 weeks she has been on the all night sleep schedule.
Thank goodness as I live in the country and don't like going out in the middle of the night. I have a pen for her just because I don't like her running around the yard at night even though it has a regular fence around it.
I would not have a dog with out a crate, it also protects them from electric cords and other dangers.
