I mentioned how high your bill was going to be - but;:
1) It costs more to spay than neuter.
2) She had a "ton" of teeth pulled with "extra" anesthetic."
3) And, the x-rays were a good part of the bill (if my dog had been doing fine - I would have skipped the x-ray - my husband was a radiologist - and he would have skipped it - of course, only if your dog was getting along fine.)
So - allowing for regional variences - it is probably in line.
