The only thing I can think of is hanging weights on the pen to make it heavier. You could also try making a floor with a piece of material and lacing it to the gated pen. I use a Graco baby travel bed (looks like a playpen, but half the size) for mine and it has it's own bottom so this wouldn't be a problem.
