I am a stay-at-home mom so it's not fathomable that she would stay in the crate all day while the kids and I are home. I let her run around outside quite a bit. On nice days she's out for hours at a time. On days like today when it's cool outside I'll take her out and leave her out for 15 minutes at a time and then if she's peed I let her run around for awhile before crating her or taking her out again. I take her out VERY often.
Today she's only peed on the carpet once. She's pooped outside just while ago and now she's laying by my feet. I keep gates up so she can't go pee in the dining room or the formal living room, I keep the powder room and laundry room door shut. She was peeing in the dining room(kids play room LOL) and that's why I gated it off, and it's helped alot.
I will try to pay more attention and make sure she's not running around inside too much, but she's a puppy and I want her to bond with us and if she's crated all the time, I'm not sure how that works.
