You absolutely do!!
All that hair was always getting peed on so our vet showed us how to make the little "tails" that kept the hair from getting wet. We don't have that problem since we had all that hair cut ... I doubt we will ever grow that coat again!
I'll bet she is the only one on the forum sporting four "tails"!!
