Don't you think there is biting and BITING? Pip plays roughly but when he bites he is playing and what I call mouthing. He even does it to the cat who could really hurt him if he hurt her. I think he was traded harshly in a previous home and if I was to say NO he cowers. Maybe spankie is the same so you may have to love him the way he is but he must be taught not to hurt anyone.
