You know I think it just takes time. My hubby is a bit country lived in the country on around 100 acres and was very ify on the idea of a small dog. Dogs were supposed to be large. Well when we went to get Reagan I got down on the floor and was playing with the two pups and the adults. He kinda did. On the way home however she crawled over in his lap. He was driving and I figured I'd hold her but no she wasn't having that she wanted to sit with him. I'll admit it I was a bit jealous but as jealous as I was happy too because I knew he started liking her then. Maybe she knew she needed to get in good with him. However it really just took a little time for him to get used to the idea. Now he says we will only have small indoor dogs. We have large outdoor dogs and they are just so much more work. I however say we will have both large and small.

The accidents drove mine crazy to but he did realize that there wasn't much he could do. Plus we had gotten his bloodhound the year before so I and my mother who was living with us at the time had to housetrain her. There wasn't too much he could say after that.

Hey you never know you may housetrain your's the fastest because you're going to be so worried about upsetting him so you'll be watching that pup like a hawk. There's always a plus to everything. You both just have to be reasonable of course and you know that. The pup will have accidents but really a lot of them are actually your fault, or at least that was the case here. Honestly I think he'll fall in love too, just read about how many other hubbies are snugglin with the pups. Good Luck.
