Does anyone else's yorkie do this? Lily will take
one piece of dry food from the bowl and then go to another room to eat it. She might do this two or three times and then she's off to play. I've been wanting to put her on a schedule to help with training but have been free feeding because she eats this way. I tried a schedule for a couple of days thinking she'd realize she needs to eat when I put the food out, but she didn't get it. I was afraid of starving her!
I'm thinking of trying to mix some wet food with the dry to see if that helps but I'm wondering how it will affect her poops. Since I'm having problems with housetraining I appreciate the fact that dry food=dry poop=easy clean-up. Will the addition of a bit of wet food create more of a mess?
BTW I've tried several different brands of dry food...she's not fond of any of them.
