I also have another project, a friend of mine found a stray that she wants to keep and it is FULL of mats, and she broke two of her clippers already trying to shave it off. So hopefully if i buy one it won't break as well when i try to help!

I always groomed Cassie. I have had Baby Blessing groomed once (no more). I found to be easy, very handy is the little battery operated mustache trimmers, Cassie loved being groomed and Baby Blessing seems to not mind the noise I bathed her today and did her feet and lite trimming, she is really great at being brushed. As far as your friends little dog with it being all matted, the easiest thing to do is use the scissors and cut it short, it will grow back out. It is important to always brush them out before bathing . I have real nice trimmers that I had bought years ago for our daughters poodle but only used them couple times they were so expensive, don't know what others use but the little battery ones are very reasonable and for me they are so much easier to use. Have a nice day. Patti ~~Baby Blessing~~
