Default Akc

The AKC is the oldest canine registry in the US. One of the responsiblities of a KC is to protect the breed. AKC is one of only a tiny few I see doing this now. Many registries allow mixed breed litters to obtain papers..they allow breeders to re-register and change adult names..how can a pedigree ever be accurate with a practice such as this..?

Stressing the standard, DNA, supporting dog events, shows, education, prompts the best in a breed..it does not destroy it..I feel most non-AKC registeries are lacking in protecting the purebred dog, by keeping it purebred.

Mixed breeds are wonderful dogs..there is nothing negative in owning one or a dozen, but without strict rules and regs, the breeder can do as they please..and when breeders do as they pleas, with no regard to the rules, the dog suffers much of the time.
