It is very hard and many people do not understand how a breeder can place a pet. You did not mention parting with her, but it is the only way I can manage top of the line vet care. I used to keep all my dogs until they went to rainbow bridge.
The problem with keeping them all is, they miss out on being a one on one pet...and vet bills can break your bank account. Simple yearly dental cleaning is outrageous if you keep a houseful of retired dogs. I know it must sound heartless to many, but I really want the best for mine, each one I keep needs to be a well thought out decision. I have spay/neutered some wonderful yorkies who just did not produce good quality..it is only fair to the breed we love so much.
