Thats common here,all breeds are allowed home a couple of weeks after their first set of shots which takes places when they are 5 weeks old.I had never heard of a pup going home at 12 weeks,I guess its different in certain places.
A friend of mine has 3 chihuahuas and she brought them all home at 6 weeks with no problems and all dogs are let go at around that age here,its just the norm.I actually preffere them coming home at 7 to 8 weeks because thats what Im used to and Iv never heard of anyone having problems due to this..after all,if it was so dangerous or risky breeders would have stopped doing it years ago.If they are still dong it its because they arent having problems and neither are the new owners
