Yes, it is as correct as saying 'only purebred dogs can be registered with AKC', but we all know that sometimes breeders breed a female that is not papered and use another dog's papers for registration so it is possible to have an APRI or AKC registered dog that is not actually purebred. Some people question an APRI registration because maybe the breeder has been blocked from AKC because of wrongdoing.

So I guess these registrations are only as honest as the people who use them.
