Never saw The Notebook, but the same author wrote the book the movie....
Message in a Bottle was based on....Kevin Costner, and Robin Wright Penn. I loved that movie. Had to wonder how many people made travel plans to the Outer Banks because of this movie....only to discover it wasn't really filmed there. OBX looks nothing like the Maine coast that was in that film.
