Actors...yeah, I know...but the way that he looked at her with so much passion was amazing. Such love, devotion...it was heart wrenching at times!
The book is even better! Then they have the sequel...The Wedding. OMG! I never cried to much!

All of Nicholas Sparks books are great! I have his last 2 that I am saving for the beach!
The Notebook is my favorite also...and my husband and teenage sons loved it as well
I am the type of person that only wants to see a movie one time, but I went with friends to see the Notebook, then took my husband, then bought it when it came out on DVD and have watched it numerous times with hubby and sons.
A Walk to Remember is also a good movie...another Nicholas Sparks one.
Edited to add...He lived here when he wrote The Notebook...just thought I would through that in
