My best friends 4 year old son just had a tick on him. It was on the back of his head. I saw it when I was cutting his hair. It too wasn't attached and she got it all off with the tweezers. She called the doctor and they said to watch him for a rash anywhere on his body and to watch for any flu like symptoms. And if any happen, to call back asap. Also, they asked about the size. Its the smaller ones that you really need to watch out for. His tick was rather large. But she kept it just in case. Its in a plastic bag all wrapped up. I think just in case they needed to test it. But this was on Friday morning and so far so good.
You can pick ticks up from really anywhere. And if she was out playing in the yard....well very easliy could have gotten it there. And double check your yorkie. They have a tendency to get up in the armpits. My vet told me that. Mine have never had one, but I found out anything I could about them. \

I hope they are all ok!
