I live in a wooded area, and I never take Jack out without a leash. I think I have lost many pounds running with him so he can excersise. Neighbors have told me about small cats being carried away by chicken hawks, so I will never take that chance.
Jack is 6 months old and 6 pounds so he would look very tasty to one of those varmits.
