It's simply a dominance issue as MyGuyAlex said. My little guy only humps stuffed animals if I pretend the animal is a puppy and I pick it up and 'love on it" the same way I would love on my puppy. He then jumps up to grab the animal out of my arms and has his way with it. He is showing that he is dominant over the stuffed animal. ( I think he may be a little bit jealous too, LOL) Dominating the stuffed animals is the only time he displays the behavior,and he has done this since about 8 weeks old.
