My little scamper is just now being taught how to walk on a leash and he is doing pretty good. You can practice inside or outside just make sure you have a leash on her so that she gets use to it. Put her a couple feet away and call her to you, you can use a treat or a toy to coax her to you. Then we she comes to you reward her and give her alot of praise. Back up a couple of feet and do it again. Once she gets the hang of that go even further away and call her to you. Once she gets that then start off with her on your side and use a treat or toy to move a couple of steps with you. Praise and reward once she has moved a couple of steps. Practice this a few times and then increase the amount of steps that she will take. Before long she will be able to walk beside you with no problem. The praise is the big thing, she needs to feel confident when she is walking. If the don't feel comfortable and confident then they arn't going to walk. All of my dogs have been successfully trained this way and now I take all of them on walks together and they do really great. Just make sure you start out slow, don't rush into things or she will take even longer to train. Good Luck!!!!
