CONGRATULATIONS!!!! To you and to your son!! Please thank him for me for his service. I was in the Navy and was stationed aboard a Destroyer in the Persian Gulf during the first Iran-Iraq conflict in '87-'88. While serving on a ship doesn't compare to being on the ground, we did lose 15 sailors when the USS Stark was fired on by Iran and we retalliated by blowing up several of their oil platforms. It was a very tense time as the possibility of becoming fully involved in the conflict loomed over the incident.
Anyway, thank him for his service!! And I'm so happy that he returned safely!!
