Got this from MIKE this morning.
Eddie is in seventh-heaven now that the snow has melted. He's chasing
ravens, jumping logs and wanting to go outside every 3.7 minutes.
Cinco de Mayo was his second birthday, and though I was a bad dad and
didn't throw a party, we broke our rules and gave him a soft toy to
shred. He got it taken away once, though, because Jack walked past
the toy and Eddie thrashed him. He's gotten better with Jack, but
there are still episodes with his fave toys.
Eddie just finished Week 2 of Jumper class, and he has already
impressed the instructors with his pluck. He may not be as fast as
the other dogs, but he makes fewer mistakes. We're training on logs
in the backyard.
I'm more in love with Jack every day. He's got so much personality,
and he's so smart. I was training Eddie to walk on a park bench, and
Jack caught on that Eddie was getting treats. Next thing I know, Jack
was walking on the bench and waiting for a treat at the end. Now I
can't even pass a bench without Jack walking on the bottom step and
expecting a treat. It's hilarious. His health is terrific, even
though I found out from animal control that he's at least 10 now.
They have a record of him getting a rabies shot in 1996. Funny how
the rescue lady never told me that when she placed the ad in the
paper saying he was 5.
For vid lovers, I've got 7 new short ones starting with April 26.
