Both my male and female get them sometimes. I thought it was just dirt since they're so close to the ground when they do their business.
I've never been able to successfully wash them off. They don't appear to be skin pigmentation, although I suppose it's possible. I just ignore them. If they'd become red or inflammed, I'd be concerned. |
