Unless one lives in the country and the dog is a working farm dog, I can not see the purpose of having a dog, just to keep it outside.
IMO the dog is not enjoying life and the people are not enjoying the dog. so what sense does it make to have one.
I see dogs on chains and in kennels and someone goes out to feed and water them once a day, if the dog is lucky. In the summer time the kennels stink and the dogs are pestered by flies.
I just don't understand it.
I think cities should pass an ordinance that dogs cannot be left outside for over 12 hours per day. When I get to be mayor that will be my first order of business. |
