Our Dr. Lucy didn't start Toto on heartworm medication until she was about 5 months because they are supposed to weigh 2+ lbs. Even then she only gave her 1/2 tab until she was bigger. I just looked on the "insert" that comes with the Sentinel and it says to only begin giving it after 4 weeks or older and 2 or more lbs.
