Default pup

I had one about 4 yrs ago...he has had no problems..and his coat has grown fairly well. I had no qualms about breeding the mother again since I had a number of her realtives and never saw it happen...so I bred her twice more with a different male and it did not reoccur.

I have seen many pups born with something that did not look right and in a week or month it was normal...for example, I had a puppy born with a twisted leg..when it was in the sac I could see its front leg pinned back over the shoulder ..it looked terrible..and I thought surely it would be crippled. My vet said to wait and see..dogs can bounce back from some awful things. By the time this pup was 2 weeks old the leg was perfectly fine...by 8 weeks she ran through the house like a race horse...I have seen other breeders destroy a puppy with a deformed leg..even if it has not straighten out, a dog can compensate well...as long as it is not suffering.
