My Bruce just had one of his knees fixed with the LP, and in the fall when he recoups from the one he will have the other done...Now his was not even a level 4, but it was reccomended that we operate, because LP wares on the joint so badly that when left uncorrected these little guys tend to develop very severe arthritis...I decided that is was worth it to have him be out of commission for about 4-6 weeks than to have him prematurely age or go through a lot of pain later...Really it did not seem that bad, the worst part was trying to contain his energy so it could heal properly, now he is up and running better than ever (at least until surgery 2)...

Surgery is not right for all dogs though, but what I would reccomend is seeing a orthopedic surgery vet. Once we saw the specialist we were able to make a better decision.

I am so glad your little lady is okay! It is great that she does so well with a bum knee, I kind of wish my little guy was such a trooper!
