I have the same problem, I just moved so i cant afford $1200 for a pup. I've been looking for months. What i've been doing is searcing every newspaper around my area almost daily (online). I actually found someone on
www.craigslist.org that said they have a small yorkie at a shelter in California, so I called yesterday and they said the pup will be available to adopt on Fri. So i'm going!!! Wish me luck tho becuase they said usually with little dogs like that there are a ton of people who show up and they have to do a raffle.
