Yes - you might ask about any medications to calm her down when you need to be gone. It could work out that you may need to use any medications only temporarily - and not forever

And - also - you need to be weaning yourself away from her in the meantime...very slowly. Be away from her for only a minute or two - and continue increasing this time veru slowly until you can be gone for half an hour or more.

I think if you can get her to accept your being out of her sight for at least half an hour - then the amount of time you're gone won't be be a real issue to her -- since dogs can't tell time. I would think that if she can get by the first half hour, she'll be okay from then on.

I'm sure you're tempted to stay extra close to her now and mother her even more, but if you need to leave her to go to school eventually -- you need to be doing the exact opposite.

Sorry - I feel sorry for her. I hope you two can work through this.
