Only one Yorkie .... no miniatures or teacups -- just the one Yorkie.

Standard size (AKC) - 4 to 7 pounds.

-------------

What makes everything so confusing is that this one little breed is that Yorkies.....

1) Can weigh from only a couple pounds to 14 pounds or more

2) Come in many different colors...

3) Have different types of coats ..

4) Should have erect ears - but sometimes have floppy ears

5) And run around with 100 different haircuts...

--------------
It certainly appears that there are many different types of Yorkies - but there aren't -- there is only one Yorkie.
--------------

The Yorkie owners here on YT - will attest that (regardless of their differences) they are all wonderful, loving pets.

Still - there is only one Yorkie breed of dog... If you want to breed or show a Yorkie, it should meet the AKC standards (with as little deviation as possible).

**** Some people call "teacup" only a marketing term -- meaning a person has only very small Yorkies for sale. And, because there really is no such thing as a "teacup Yorkie," most people prefer that this term not be used at all........

PS: The standards (AKC) for showing and breeding have been posted many times on YT. I'm sure you can run a search and find them....

Good luck! Carol Jean
