I don't think any dog (a pet) should be kept outside all the time.
Most people with large dogs (a lab, golden retreiver, etc.) don't keep them outside 100% of the time.
I know one person who does keep her dog outside all the time.
1) Her dog is kept outdoors 24/7 regardless of the weather.
2) The backyard is so full of dog poop that no one goes out there anymore. The children can't play in the yard...even in the summer. She said that if her husband or boys won't clean it up - she's not going to.
3) The neighbors call the authorities constantly complaining about her dog barking night and day. And - she thinks her neighbors are out of line - not her!!!
**** I asked her why she has a dog at all - and, she said, "Oh, the children go out and play with it once in a while." ..... after she said that no one can go in the backyard because of the dog messes all over....
I am sure her children don't go out and play with the dog in the cold of winter.
This is abuse - right?
And - of course, little Yorkies shouldn't be kept outside. Very small dogs (like Yorkies) are considered "house dogs" for a good reason........
