My family and I have moved to NC and we had to leave our cat and Fiona in a kennel for 4 days b/c they didn't have any pet rooms on the post we are at.
We didn't want to do it, but didn't really have a choice.
When we got them back and got to a hotel they could stay at, she was acting a little skittish, and thought it was a little strange, but we have had a LOT going on. So 2 days later I brought her with me to do laundry and we had met a lady that morning who also had a yorkie and I saw her again in the laundry room and we were talking and I mentioned how much Fiona loved to play with other dogs, so she said she would go get hers.
Well she came in a few minutes later and they did their sniffing thing and Fiona went crazy, trying to attack her. I have never seen her like this, it was like a totally different dog.
She was barking and growling and trying to bite, I picked her up and she was still trying to get to her. I apologized to the lady and she took her dog out.
I was so horrified! Why did she do this? We were going to bring her downtown to a festival they were having this past weekend, but decided against it after that little "episode".
I am going to call the kennel tomorrow morning to see if something happened, but could have just leaving her there have messed her up? What do I do? I'm pretty upset about what happened, I've just never seen her act like that before. She has always been "bossy", but nothing like that. Will I never be able to take her anywhere again? I am really worried, please help!
