I do not think it is wise to start at a young male at stud with AI. If a male will not breed, I wait until he is ready...just my way of doing it.


Even though Pat said it already, you should not be able to see the penis long after the breeding is over. Now some really anxious males will, ummm let's say "hold it out there" but is usually not for very long.

I'm not hip on AI either. I prefer to let them breed naturally but do not have anything against anyone who does AI. That's just me.
